Omar Boraie Is Responsible For The Transformation Of New Brunswick

The president of Boraie Development LLC is Omar Boraie. According to NJBiz, he is just about to complete his latest project that is located in New Brunswick. These are luxury high-rise residential apartments. They are located on Somerset Street which is based in the heart of the city. They are called The Aspire.

With this project, the vision of Omar Boraie for New Brunswick is finally taking shape. He had this vision nearly four decades ago, and people thought that he was crazy for thinking like that.

Today Omar Boraie is 73-year-old. He is the president as well as patriarch of Boraie Development LLC. He says that it was his dream to help in rebuilding New Brunswick.

He does recount that he started this in 1972 and it was awful at that time. This is because there was no one walking on the streets post 4 p.m. as no one was left in the city. This was when Omar Boraie decided to do something about it.

Now he has an office on the Albany Street. In fact, this was his first major project in this town. There were over 21 buildings on the block which were vacant as well as dilapidated.

Basically, Omar Boraie was much ahead of his time. He built the Albany Street Plaza Tower One. This was the Class A office space that the city needed. It had 250,000 square feet of space. It was built during the 80s and ’90s. He made Tower Two later next to Tower One. This got completed in 2003. This way the city was able to add much more Class A office space to the already existing space.

Its twenty-five stories have made it the tallest building in the city of New Brunswick. It has 121 residential units along with 40,000 square feet of space for offices. There are 10,000 square feet devoted to retail. It has 400 spaces for cars in its parking garage. There is outdoor space available for barbecue as well as to walk your dog. This building got completed in 2007. It sold out in just two months.

People were surprised to see a building like Spring Street located in a place like New Brunswick. But now people started believing in Omar Boraie and his vision.

But he credits many other people too for these developments. Dick Sellers, who is the president of Johnson & Johnson, is one of them.
